THE WEDGE LECTURE
Connecting the Local and the Global

Wedge Curatorial Projects (WCP) is pleased to introduce The Wedge Lecture, an annual two-day program with a focus on Black identity and contemporary art, which will include a public conversation and private workshop.

For this inaugural event, WCP partnered with Luminato Festival, Toronto’s International Festival of Art and Ideas, to host Thelma Golden, Director and Chief Curator of the Studio Museum in Harlem, in conversation with Dr. Julie Crooks, Curator, Arts of Global Africa and the Diaspora at the Art Gallery of Ontario.

The Wedge Lecture reflects the organization’s continued work in connecting communities and building critical spaces to engage with contemporary artistic practices across disciplines through a local and global lens, in new and dynamic ways.
